We're Beth & Dan, founders of Eco Escapes!

We live in Newquay with our two cheeky whippets, we surf as much as we can, snowboard when there is snow and we're always off adventuring around Cornwall in our van! We certainly don't live perfectly eco (as that's impossible in the world right now), but we live with as minimal waste as possible and want to share our tips with you when you stay at our Eco Escape!

Dan was born and raised in Newquay and after travelling as a chef for 8+ years from Australia to New Zealand and has now settled back in Newquay changing trades and is now a plumber - yes he's our handy man for everything at Eco Escapes! He's a proper Cornish man who can help with everything from where to get the best pasties and how to stay safe in the sea as Cornish conditions can change so quickly!

Beth is a Northern lass (as much as she pretends she's Cornish) and moved to Newquay after years of travelling and wanting to find a home where there was surf and adventure right on her doorstep. She's the founder of Plastic Freedom and runs the business full time from Newquay whilst her team run the warehouse up in Southport!

About Eco Escapes

Eco Escapes has been an idea for a long time but never really came to fruition until one day it clicked and we found the perfect space right by the beach! We can't wait to expand our eco recommendations further afield and hopefully one day this will be your home for how to travel with a little less impact, no matter where you're going in the world!
